From March 17th to March 23rd, 2019 in Sobreda, Portugal, at Agrupamento de Escolas Elias Garcia the learning /teaching/ training mobility was held.

Students were offered to work in groups in their schools and to complete the creative art work that included paintings on a specific subject. The students also prepared presentations on national symbols.

During the mobility, a collaborative platform was established. There were suggestive workshops with special tables, samples of materials, Portuguese tiles and mandalas, where students had the opportunity to express their thoughts, ideas, fantasy.

It was well seen, that simple things like holding a paintbrush and scribbling with a crayon are an important element to developing a child’s fine motor skills. While mastering a subject certainly students were building their confidence. As they improve and see their own progress, their self-confidence will grow. Students learned to share responsibility and compromise to achieve their common goal.

During the mobility, pupils lived in families that positively influenced the development of competencies such as communication in different languages, self-awareness, self-initiative and entrepreneurship, digital and cultural awareness.

The cultural program, workshops and joint activities positively influenced the change of relationship between the students and the teachers. The daily experience of the students was enriched. Attention was paid to teamwork, school community building, and collaborative pedagogy.
